Associate Chemist

As an Associate Chemist, you will play a crucial role in the kilogram-scale manufacture of specialty chemicals, including dyes and dye intermediates. This entry-level position involves working with both internal and external customers to ensure high-quality production and compliance with safety regulations.

• Conduct specialty chemical production on kilogram scales.
• Set up chemical apparatus and manage reactor loading and unloading.
• Monitor and control chemical processes.
• Purify products through crystallization, chromatography, and other methods.
• Perform spectroscopy and quality control.
• Maintain accurate record keeping and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field.
• University research experience.
• Familiarity with handling chemicals and chemical equipment.
• Experience with analytical instruments including GC, UV/Vis spectrometers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry with 1-2 years of industrial experience.
