Associate General Manager

The Associate General Manager at MCM in Paramus, NJ, will partner with the Store Manager to assist in all functions of the retail location. This role involves executing plans and strategies to support sales, operations, talent management, clientele development, and merchandising, ensuring a positive work environment and customer experience.

• Achieve or exceed sales targets, including top and bottom-line results.
• Resolve customer issues by investigating problems and developing solutions.
• Train sales associates on standard operating procedures and their business impact.
• Monitor inventory planning and maintain proper inventory metrics.
• Maintain loss prevention procedures to minimize loss and increase security.
• Review retail profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Analyze business needs and fulfill merchandising strategy.
• Perform store opening and closing procedures.
• Regularly review company communications and act on messages timely.

• 1 to 3 years of store management experience, preferably with fashion brands.
• BA or BS degree.
• Experience with affluent and luxury brands is an asset.
• Operational excellence in retail stores, including payroll and inventory management.
• Proven leadership qualities in developing and mentoring staff.
• Strong grasp of retail math and analytics.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work retail hours.
• Strong time management, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
