Job Description

Summary

The Associate Manager supports the General Manager to create and execute strategic plans to ensure a profitable store while maintaining brand standards and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role acts as a key decision maker in the General Manager's absence and focuses on operational excellence, talent optimization and new ways of selling.

Responsibilities

  • Support General Manager with business trend analysis and strategic planning for the store
  • Educate team on sales and profit performance tools and resources
  • Create and uphold a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
  • Assist in client development strategy and lead community outreach in the market
  • Execute talent strategy and collaborate to build and develop the store team
  • Drive networking and recruitment activities within the store market
  • Provide coaching feedback and development opportunities to employees
  • Manage store processes including inventory control to meet shrink goals
  • Champion new technology to support selling techniques and shopping options

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent considered a plus
  • Retail management or similar industry experience in a high-volume specialty environment preferred
  • Strong communication skills with customers and store personnel
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and prolonged standing and walking
  • Ability to operate register and work across sales floor stock dressing room cashwrap and office
  • Flexible availability including days evenings weekends and occasional overnight shifts and travel
  • Proven track record building and maintaining positive working relationships
  • Business acumen with strong planning prioritization and time management skills
