Summary
The Associate Manager, Packaging Development will lead development and implementation of innovative packaging solutions for the Promo category, collaborating cross-functionally and managing external vendors. This role focuses on sustainable packaging, technical qualification, and project management to support gifting and product launches.
Responsibilities
- Execute development and qualification of packaging solutions meeting brand aesthetics, functionality, quality and cost targets
- Support conceptualization, engineering specifications, mold qualification, testing and implementation of new packages
- Own technical milestones in project timelines and troubleshoot supplier and manufacturing issues
- Create package component specifications, pre-bills-of-materials and fill and assembly specifications
- Collaborate with Marketing and Design to validate feasibility and artwork technical elements
- Manage external vendors to review project status and elevate technical solutions
- Attend set assembly startups to ensure proper execution of design and function
- Drive sustainability initiatives and support engineering change processes
Requirements
- BS or BA in Package Engineering Technology Science or related engineering field
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Packaging Development preferred in gifting
- Broad knowledge of packaging materials processes and testing procedures
- Strong project management and communication skills with internal partners and vendors
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to build presentations in Excel or PowerPoint
- CAD literacy is a plus
- Self-motivated and able to work with relative autonomy
