Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in executing strategic plans to drive profitable store performance while maintaining brand standards. This role assists with talent development, community outreach, inventory control, and operational execution to ensure a consistent customer experience and store excellence.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and planning store initiatives
- Educate and coach team on sales and profit performance tools
- Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in client development strategy and lead local community outreach
- Execute talent strategy and participate in recruiting and networking
- Provide coaching feedback and development opportunities for employees
- Manage store processes including inventory control to meet shrink goals
- Promote use of technology and new selling techniques to drive results
- Ensure sales floor and store standards exceed expectations
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Retail management or similar industry experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with customers and store personnel
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods
- Ability to operate register and work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and travel
- Proven track record of building positive working relationships
- Business acumen with strong planning and time management skills
