Job Description

Summary

The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure profitable store performance, operational excellence, and adherence to brand standards. This role leads talent development, community outreach, and implements selling strategies while acting as a key decision maker in the GM's absence.

Responsibilities

  • Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and executing store initiatives
  • Educate and coach team on sales and profit performance tools
  • Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
  • Assist in developing store client strategy and lead community outreach
  • Execute talent strategy and lead recruitment and networking activities
  • Provide ongoing coaching feedback and learning opportunities to employees
  • Manage store processes including inventory control to achieve shrink goals
  • Champion use of new technology and selling techniques to drive results
  • Ensure sales floor and store standards consistently exceed expectations

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent considered a plus
  • Retail management or similar industry experience in complex high-volume specialty environment preferred
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining positive customer and team relationships
  • Strong business acumen with planning and prioritization skills
  • Ability to operate register and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days evenings weekends and occasional travel
  • Effective communication skills with customers and store personnel
