Job Description

Summary

The Associate Manager supports the General Manager by driving store performance through strategic planning, operational excellence, and talent development. This role helps execute business initiatives, maintain brand standards, and serve as a key decision maker in the GM's absence. The Associate Manager focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience and developing the store team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in analyzing business trends and planning store initiatives
  • Educate and coach the team on sales performance tools and client development strategies
  • Execute talent strategy including recruitment, networking, and ongoing development conversations
  • Maintain store execution standards, including sales floor presentation and inventory control to achieve shrink goals
  • Champion use of technology and new selling techniques to drive results
  • Provide feedback to leadership on category trends and high-profit opportunities

Requirements

  • Retail management or similar high-volume specialty retail experience preferred
  • Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform physical store duties, lift up to 30 lbs., and work on the sales floor and cashwrap for extended periods
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and occasional travel
  • Business acumen with strong planning and prioritization/time management skills
