Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure profitable store operations and uphold brand standards. This role acts as key decision maker in the General Manager's absence, drives talent development, and delivers an elevated customer experience aligned to company expectations.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and developing strategic initiatives for the store
- Educate team on sales and profit performance tools and resources
- Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in client development strategy and lead community outreach in the market
- Execute talent strategy and collaborate on hiring, development, and coaching
- Drive networking and recruitment activities in the store market
- Manage store processes including inventory control and shrink prevention
- Champion new technology and New Ways of Selling techniques to drive results
- Ensure sales floor and store standards consistently exceed expectations
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Retail management or similar industry experience in a complex high-volume specialty environment preferred
- Proven track record building positive relationships with customers and team members
- Strong business acumen with planning and time management skills
- Ability to operate register and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 lbs
- Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and occasional travel
- Effective communication skills with customers and store personnel
