Summary
The Merchandise Operations Associate supports daily merchandise operations including processing inbound merchandise, placement and presentation on the selling floor, and order fulfillment under the guidance of the Merchandise Operations Team Supervisor or Manager. This role requires physical ability to handle merchandise, proficiency with store technology, and flexibility to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Process inbound merchandise for the sales floor
- Place and present merchandise to maintain visual standards
- Participate in floor recovery and supply replenishment during peak periods
- Locate merchandise and complete customer orders placed in store
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs promptly
- Use RF guns, PC, iOS devices and proprietary platforms to complete tasks
- Follow direction to maintain merchandising standards
- Assist with ad hoc store initiatives as assigned by management
- Drive company vehicle when needed following state requirements
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders
- Ability to learn and retain visual merchandising standards
- Strong computer skills including Excel and Word
- Comfort working in a fast paced team environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi task and meet deadlines consistently
- Flexible schedule to meet business needs and dependability standards
- Valid driver license meeting state standards when driving company vehicle
- Effective communication skills and ability to build interpersonal relationships
- Willingness to participate in various store initiatives and cross functional tasks
