Assortment Planner - Designer Handbags/Women's Accessories

As an Assortment Planner in the Designer Handbag and Women's Accessories division at Nordstrom, you will play a crucial role in meeting and exceeding departmental sales, margin, and turn targets. This hybrid role requires a minimum of 3 days per week in the Seattle office, where you will collaborate with Buyers and cross-functional partners to create customer-centric supplier plans.

• Reconcile merchandise financial, supplier, and assortment plans to ensure alignment with product and customer strategies.
• Direct the analysis and use of information to enhance the depth and precision of purchasing decisions.
• Manage inventory in season, making informed decisions on analysis, markdowns, claims, and re-orders.
• Collaborate with Buyers and cross-functional partners on business reviews and plan revisions to achieve financial goals.
• Teach, coach, and motivate direct reports to excel in planning assortments and quantifying purchases.

• 4+ years of experience as a multichannel/omni-channel retail merchandise Planner or equivalent role.
• Strong understanding of retail and Nordstrom's service environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Experience managing a high sales volume category is preferred.
• Strong analytical, math, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
