Summary
The Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer experiences for an assigned beauty brand within the store, combining product expertise, makeup application, and digital selling to build customer loyalty and meet sales goals. This role manages vendor events, maintains the counter presentation, and collaborates with the team to create an inclusive, customer focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products to meet customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and open new rewards accounts
- Keep the beauty counter organized, clean, and customer ready
- Stay current with beauty trends and product knowledge through training
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming and inclusive experience
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, makeup application, skincare, and customer service
- Ability to connect with customers and proactively address concerns
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and willingness to use networking and technology
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours and perform frequent bending and reaching
- Ability to regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
