Summary
The Beauty Counter Manager provides personalized beauty experiences while maximizing sales for assigned luxury brands through in-store and digital engagement. This role combines sales, teaching, and customer service responsibilities and requires meeting sales goals and maintaining vendor relationships. The manager leads by example in makeup application and skincare consultation and ensures the counter is customer-ready. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products based on customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and enroll customers in rewards program
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers and collaborate with team members
- Keep department organized, clean, and customer-ready
- Stay current on beauty trends, products, and industry knowledge through training
- Utilize networking and technology for customer development and sales
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, including trends, makeup application, and skincare
- Excellent customer connection skills and ability to handle customer concerns
- Empathy and respect when providing makeup and skincare services
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through abilities
- Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in using digital tools and social media
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Experience in a commissioned sales environment preferred
