The Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer experience for an assigned luxury beauty brand within the store, combining hands-on beauty application and coaching with sales and merchandising responsibilities. This role drives counter performance through personalized consultations, digital and in-store selling, vendor event execution, and team collaboration to meet sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses to recommend products aligned with customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to support business results
- Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges and assist customers with Nordstrom Rewards enrollment
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive customer environment
- Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and customer readiness
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, including makeup application and skincare knowledge
- Excellent customer connection skills and ability to handle customer concerns with empathy
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through abilities
- Drive to achieve sales goals and willingness to use networking and technology for selling
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to perform continuous movement for 6-8 hours and lift items up to 25 pounds
