Summary
The Beauty Counter Manager provides personalized beauty experiences, drives sales for an assigned luxury beauty brand and supports vendor relationships and in-store events. This role balances selling, teaching, and merchandising while using in-store and digital tools to build customer loyalty and meet sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products to meet customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize results
- Handle sales, refunds, exchanges and open new customer rewards accounts
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive customer environment
- Keep department organized, clean and customer-ready
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
- Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Requirements
- Passion for customer service, beauty trends, makeup application and skincare
- Excellent customer connection skills and ability to handle customer concerns
- Empathy and respect for customers during makeup and skincare services
- Strong multitasking, organization and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and willingness to use networking and technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Physical ability to move continuously for 6-8 hours and lift up to 25 pounds
