Summary
The Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer experiences for an assigned beauty brand at a department store counter, combining selling and teaching to grow customer relationships and meet counter goals. The position requires flexibility for evenings and weekends and frequent customer interaction both in-person and digitally.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products to meet customer beauty goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize business results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and enroll customers in loyalty programs
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive customer environment
- Keep the department organized, clean, and customer-ready
- Stay current on beauty trends, products, and brand trainings
Requirements
- Passion for customer service and beauty including makeup application and skincare knowledge
- Excellent ability to connect with customers and proactively handle concerns
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in networking and technology for selling
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to continuously move for 6-8 hours and regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
