Summary
The Beauty Counter Manager leads sales and customer service for an assigned beauty brand, delivering personalized makeup and skincare experiences while driving counter performance. This role combines direct selling with training and relationship building with vendors and customers, including digital outreach through text and social media. The manager also oversees event execution, scheduling, and maintaining a customer-ready counter.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses to recommend products aligned with customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize results
- Provide excellent customer service and proactively handle customer concerns
- Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and merchandise presentation
- Process sales transactions including refunds and exchanges and enroll customers in rewards program
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, including makeup application and skincare knowledge
- Excellent customer connection skills and ability to create an inclusive environment
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales targets and comfort with commissioned sales environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Physical ability to stand and move for 6-8 hours and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
