The Beauty Counter Manager provides personalized beauty experiences, drives sales for an assigned beauty brand, and coaches customers and team members through makeup applications and skincare consultations. This role balances sales and teaching responsibilities while managing vendor events, schedules, and customer relationships in a commissioned retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses to recommend products
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor and customer relationships
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges
- Recruit and open new customer loyalty accounts
- Maintain department organization, cleanliness, and customer readiness
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
- Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, including makeup application and skincare
- Strong customer service and ability to connect with customers
- Excellent multitasking, organization, and follow-through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and comfort in a commissioned environment
- Ability to handle customer concerns with empathy and respect
- Capacity for continuous movement and physical tasks during shifts
