Provide personalized beauty consultations and retail sales in a luxury department store beauty environment, focusing on makeup, skincare, and digital selling to build customer loyalty and meet sales goals. Maintain a welcoming and organized department while representing on-trend brands and supporting in-store events and services.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses to recommend products aligned with customer goals
- Engage customers in-person and digitally to build a customer following and drive sales
- Set and achieve individual and team sales targets using selling tools including text and social media
- Book appointments and support in-store beauty events and services
- Manage sales transactions, refunds, and exchanges and enroll customers in rewards programs
- Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive and welcoming environment
- Maintain department organization, cleanliness, and customer-ready presentation
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, makeup application, and skincare
- Strong customer service and communication skills with empathy and respect
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and follow through on tasks
- Drive to meet sales goals and interest in using networking and technology
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- Ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours per shift with frequent bending and reaching
- Frequent use of hands for fine manipulation and ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
