Provide personalized beauty experiences in a department store setting by engaging customers, performing makeup applications and skincare consultations, and driving sales both in-store and through digital channels. Responsibilities
- Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products aligned with customer goals
- Engage customers to build relationships and a loyal client following both in-store and digitally
- Set and achieve sales goals and utilize selling tools including text and social media
- Book appointments and drive sales for in-store beauty events and services
- Manage sales transactions, refunds, and exchanges and assist with Nordstrom Rewards enrollment
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment
- Keep department customer-ready through organization and cleanliness
- Stay current with beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, including makeup application and skincare
- Excellent customer connection and communication skills
- Empathy and respect when providing makeup and skincare services
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through abilities
- Drive to achieve sales goals and willingness to use networking and technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Capable of continuous movement and frequent bending, twisting, and reaching during shifts
- Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
