Job Description

Summary

The Boutique Director is responsible for overall management of the boutique including staff, merchandise, customer service, and achieving sales objectives. This role leads operational and merchandising standards, builds and develops a motivated team, and drives business strategies through sales analysis and coaching. The director also ensures inventory accuracy, expense control, and represents the brand through strong visual presentation and clienteling.

Responsibilities

  • Manage boutique operations, staff performance, and daily workflows; set and monitor individual sales goals and coach associates.
  • Analyze sales reports and data to identify needs and develop business strategies to meet objectives.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and client communication through clienteling tools; resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Oversee inventory movement, shipping and receiving, cash control procedures, and loss prevention measures.
  • Implement merchandising and visual directives to maintain brand presentation and selling floor standards.
  • Grow and maintain the client database through local networking and CRM activities; liaise with corporate teams and other boutiques.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of retail experience, preferably within the luxury market.
  • Minimum of three years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and inventory/database software.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales objectives and develop sales techniques in a team.
