Summary
The Boutique Director leads overall boutique operations including staff management, merchandise presentation, customer service and achievement of sales objectives. This role focuses on building and developing a motivated team, maintaining high operational and merchandising standards and collaborating with corporate teams. The position is responsible for opening in Spring 2026 and driving local business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Set individual sales goals for sales associates aligned with store objectives
- Develop associates sales techniques and ensure elevated levels of service
- Analyze sales reports and data to inform business strategies
- Ensure high levels of customer service and manage client communication and clienteling tools
- Oversee facility maintenance, presentation and cash control procedures
- Control store expenses and maintain budgets to reduce costs
- Monitor inventory movement, accuracy and adherence to shipping and receiving policies
- Implement merchandising directives and maintain visual merchandising standards
- Grow the client database through community networking and prospecting
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of retail experience preferably in the luxury market
- Minimum of three years of management or supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and manage store operations
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and inventory and database software
- Knowledge of loss prevention and risk management procedures
- Experience with visual merchandising and inventory planning
