Job Description

Summary

The Boutique Director oversees day-to-day boutique operations and leads the sales team to deliver an elevated luxury client experience. This role focuses on driving sales through clienteling, coaching staff, and maintaining operational and merchandising standards while working closely with the management team.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed sales goals through proactive clienteling, sourcing new clients, and building long-term relationships.
  • Evaluate team performance, provide consistent coaching, and create action plans for staff development.
  • Forecast, plan and manage business needs including payroll, staffing and boutique budgeting.
  • Manage daily operational tasks in accordance with brand standards, including selling and service processes.
  • Support recruitment and retention efforts and serve as a leader within the building.
  • Develop and cascade product knowledge, staying current on watch trends and market competition.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of retail service experience required, preferably in luxury retail.
  • Current knowledge of watch trends and marketplace competition.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with retail systems (labor management, inventory, sales reporting).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
