SummaryAs a Business Data Analyst, you will provide analytical tools, metrics, and analysis to measure Supply Chain and Manufacturing progress towards productivity, brand services, and cost commitments. You will perform analyses and reporting on opportunities to improve performance, utilizing advanced query, design, database, and systems expertise across multiple operational and analytical systems.
Responsibilities- Lead initiatives with business users and analysts to develop reporting on manufacturing, service, and efficiency metrics.
- Design and execute database queries into various systems (LMS/SAP/Kronos/BO).
- Summarize the results of queries in a common format.
- Maintain accuracy and frequency of the reports with Supply Chain and Manufacturing leaders.
- Establish processes for ongoing distribution of reports.
- Publish the reports regularly.
- Build and maintain metrics databases allowing for trend reporting.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the reports and coordinate improvements as required.
- Analyze operations for improvement opportunities.
- Contact and establish effective relationships with various sources of data.
- Analyze results for trends and opportunities using appropriate tools.
- Develop root cause reporting based on anomalies.
- Track trends in root causes and tie to improvement in results.
- Provide brand-specific and sub-brand specific reporting.
- Store-level remake reports and store-caused delays in sending in frames or transmitting orders.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Expertise in database query tools (SQL, APEX, SAP BW/BI, LMS/CLNR).
- Expertise in data analysis and presentation tools such as Microsoft Access and Excel.
- Statistical Process/Quality Control experience.
- Reporting tool (Power BI/Spotfire/Tableau) and ETL expertise.
- Basic Linux navigation/admin.
- Comfortable with multi-tasking on a broad range of assignments.
- Sense of urgency for results.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with business users.
- Programming experience in Python/Perl is preferred.
- Optical industry knowledge is preferred.
