Summary
The CNC Manufacturing Engineer II advances production efficiency, precision, and technical execution at a home furnishings manufacturing facility. The role collaborates with design, manufacturing, and engineering partners to develop reliable workflows and uphold high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement across product lines to elevate quality, increase productivity, and reduce rework.
- Coordinate new jobs from concept through production and resolve design and manufacturing ambiguities.
- Develop machine setups, fixtures, tooling, and machining strategies based on machine behavior and material response.
- Create and maintain CNC programs and production documentation, and validate programs before release.
- Diagnose CNC program and operator execution issues and implement repeatable production solutions.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience focused on CNC programming, machine setup, and process engineering.
- Experience in wood operations, millwork, or furniture manufacturing is preferred.
- Proficiency with CAM programming software and CAD models; ALPHACAM, Mastercam, or SWOOD experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining, including feeds and speeds, workholding, sequence planning, and fixture design.
- Strong communication, collaboration, project management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- A related bachelor's degree is preferred; experienced candidates with demonstrated shop-floor CNC skills will also be considered.
