Cafe Cook

Summary

Under direction from the Operations Manager, the cafe cook produces high quality food within established time standards while delivering excellent customer service, maintaining sanitation and supporting team and store initiatives. This role focuses on food preparation, safety, and contributing to a positive guest experience in a luxury retail cafe setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to quality and presentation standards.
• Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow food storage procedures according to safety handbook.
• Achieve and exceed individual performance and productivity goals.
• Provide consistent high level of customer service and develop customer relationships.
• Support company store and department initiatives.
• Perform ad hoc responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years cafe or fast food experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Strong technical skills in cooking, serving, multitasking, cleanliness and organization.
• Knowledge of food and hospitality industry trends; bookkeeping skills preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and prioritize client satisfaction.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to develop team members.
