Summary
Commercial Area Manager for Travel Retail Americas based in Miami responsible for managing LATAM accounts, developing client strategy and achieving market share while supporting the Regional Director and cross functional teams. Role includes sell-in and partial P&L responsibility, forecasting, trade marketing implementation and driving retail excellence across the sub-region with up to 50% travel.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned accounts and act as first point of contact for day to day account management.
- Develop client strategies to maximize sell-in sell-out and market share at sub market and area customer level.
- Support and lead major negotiations at regional level and build trust relationships with customers.
- Propose and follow budgets at sub region level and manage reporting of sell in sell out and KPIs.
- Coordinate cross functional collaboration with Marketing Customer Service Retail In store and Field teams.
- Forecast product needs point of sales and promotional items to minimize obsolescence.
- Implement trade marketing plans aligned with regional strategy and three year vision.
- Support implementation of the Retail Excellence plan and in store execution.
- Ensure administrative tasks such as price lists assortments and document delivery are completed accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Five years or more of experience in Sales Commercial or Area Management within Travel Retail.
- Experience in beauty or luxury industries or related Travel Retail sectors.
- Master's degree in Economics or business related field or equivalent experience.
- Excellent command of English and Spanish.
- Availability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Strong negotiation and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to build strong client and cross functional relationships and lead teams.
- Consumer focus sensitivity to luxury and attention to detail.
- Advanced use of MS Office skills.
