Job Description

Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Construction Project Manager, where you will oversee remodel projects across Nordstrom retail stores, Supply Chain facilities, and Corporate Offices. This hybrid role requires a seasoned professional with over 8 years of experience in managing the full lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring successful delivery from scope definition to closeout.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with internal departments to define and validate project scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Collaborate with real estate and legal teams to execute developer contracts and define landlord responsibilities.
  • Manage complex brand relationships with external retail brands to bring their concepts to life in Nordstrom Stores.
  • Implement scope and program information from the Design Team and produce in-house scope documents.
  • Conduct site surveys to ensure Nordstrom standards and expectations are met.
  • Develop and manage construction budgets and solicit bids from qualified contractors.
  • Monitor, manage, and report on project schedules, costs, and risks.
  • Lead and motivate a team of external consultants to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality expectations.
  • Manage the general contractor to construct the project and interface with developers and local jurisdictions.
  • Review and manage change orders and contract compliance.
  • Coordinate with the store team and communicate regularly during construction.
  • Resolve unforeseen conditions with budget and schedule in mind.
  • Review and approve payment applications and closeout documents.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Construction Project Management within a construction, retail, or design organization.
  • Degree or diploma in construction management, architecture, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills related to design and construction with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret contract documents and specifications.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex supply chain projects.
