Responsibilities- Partner with internal departments to define and validate project scope, cost, and schedule.
- Collaborate with real estate and legal teams to execute developer contracts and define landlord responsibilities.
- Manage complex brand relationships with external retail brands to bring their concepts to life in Nordstrom Stores.
- Implement scope and program information from the Design Team and produce in-house scope documents.
- Conduct site surveys to ensure Nordstrom standards and expectations are met.
- Develop and manage construction budgets and solicit bids from qualified contractors.
- Monitor, manage, and report on project schedules, costs, and risks.
- Lead and motivate a team of external consultants to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality expectations.
- Manage the general contractor to construct the project and interface with developers and local jurisdictions.
- Review and manage change orders and contract compliance.
- Coordinate with the store team and communicate regularly during construction.
- Resolve unforeseen conditions with budget and schedule in mind.
- Review and approve payment applications and closeout documents.
Requirements- 8+ years of experience in Construction Project Management within a construction, retail, or design organization.
- Degree or diploma in construction management, architecture, or related field.
- Strong communication skills related to design and construction with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents and specifications.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience working under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex supply chain projects.
