Job Description

Summary

We are seeking an Architectural Designer and Project Manager for a 6-month engagement in New York to support store design projects. The role focuses on conceptual and design development, producing 3D renderings and design intent sets, coordinating with consultants during construction, and providing studio research and administrative support. The position also involves mentoring junior architecture team members and assisting Design Managers with RFP and design review processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual design and design development documentation.
  • Create 3D renderings and hand sketches to support design intent and presentations.
  • Produce Design Development sets and Design Intent Sets for RFP distribution and review.
  • Coordinate with external consultants, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration.
  • Set meeting agendas and communicate design issues and solutions in Design Review meetings.
  • Conduct material and product research and order samples as required.
  • Maintain electronic and paper project files, project imagery, and timesheet records.
  • Mentor and support junior architecture team members.

Requirements

  • Professional degree in Architecture.
  • 3-5 years minimum architectural experience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong hand sketching skills.
  • Preferred: proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
