Summary
Proactive Controls Systems Technician responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining material handling equipment and control systems including PLCs, industrial networks, drives, HMIs, and control cabinets. The role focuses on maintaining system performance, performing assessments, and coordinating with facilities and operations to resolve technical issues and improve utilization.
Responsibilities
- Maintain material handling control systems including PLC and PC controllers and industrial networks.
- Troubleshoot conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, print and apply systems, and scales.
- Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on PLCs SCADA and computer based process control.
- Use diagnostic tools, historical data, blueprints, and CMMS to repair and maintain equipment.
- Monitor MHE metrics and partner with facilities and operations on performance issues.
- Perform FC DC system assessments to identify and repair deficiencies and improve utilization.
- Install maintain and repair electronic hydraulic pneumatic and mechanical instrumentation.
- Analyze system failures to determine root cause and scope follow up activities.
Requirements
- Associates degree in electronic technology engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years systems control knowledge and PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Working knowledge of ladder logic and PLC software such as Allen Bradley RS LOGIX 500 or 5000.
- Experience supporting conveyors and sortation systems and automation control systems.
- Industrial electrical hands on experience including 480V 3 phase 110 VAC and 24VDC systems.
- Ability to identify maintain and troubleshoot PLCs and PLC components using relevant software.
- Understanding of Warehouse Management System concepts and warehouse control systems.
- Strong reasoning analytical and problem solving skills.
