Summary
Under direction from the Operations Manager, the cook produces high quality café food within established time standards while providing excellent customer service, maintaining sanitation and working collaboratively with café and store team members.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to quality and timing standards.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow food storage procedures according to the safety handbook.
- Focus on achieving and exceeding individual performance and productivity goals.
- Provide consistent high level customer service and develop customer relationships.
- Support company store and department initiatives and follow policies and procedures.
- Perform ad hoc duties as needed to support café operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years café or fast food cooking experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong technical skills in cooking, multitasking, cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate leadership potential.
- Knowledge of food and hospitality industry trends; bookkeeping skills preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to solve problems quickly.
- Openness to learning and developing new skills and processes.
