Summary
Assist the Asset Protection Department in protecting company assets including facilities, inventory, and associate safety. Coordinate daily AP duties such as scheduling, SOP updates, training, audits, CCTV and fire protection monitoring, and special projects as assigned. Respond to alarms and coordinate emergency responses while supporting shipping and receiving security processes.
Responsibilities
- Observe operations to detect and report policy violations including theft and safety hazards.
- Monitor access of personnel and vehicles and process inbound and outbound trailers per AP policies.
- Operate and troubleshoot CCTV and monitor fire protection systems including conducting audits and tests.
- Maintain hot work orders and impairment tags and train associates on insurance standards and protocols.
- Conduct warehouse shortage, GPS physical, yard and seal audits and document findings and discrepancies.
- Order and audit supplies for AP posts and ensure timely completion of audits.
- Coordinate incoming calls, emergency responses, building evacuation drills and rotate shifts with AP staff as needed.
- Prepare incident reports and record statements following company procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year prior loss prevention or related experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, email, PowerPoint, PKMS, PDA, report writing and RF usage.
- Working knowledge of warehouse operations and fire protection system coverage.
- Knowledge of state and federal criminal laws related to retail operations.
- Ability to collect and report facts objectively and prepare written reports.
- Ability to control and diffuse potentially violent or stressful situations and communicate effectively.
- Proven ability to organize multiple projects, meet shifting priorities and develop effective working relationships.
