Couturière

As a Couturière at Holt Renfrew, you will be responsible for adjusting, pinning, marking, and altering garments according to client specifications. You will work in a fashion-driven environment, collaborating with sales advisors to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Take client measurements to determine the scope of work.
• Pin and mark garments appropriately based on fabric type and ensure proper fit adjustments.
• Perform alterations on pinned and marked garments to the highest technical standards.
• Deliver completed garments by the promised date or earlier.
• Inform clients of alteration fees according to the current fee list.
• Confirm and communicate the promised completion date for alterations.
• Collaborate professionally with sales advisors to satisfy clients.
• Provide expert advice on garment cutting and fitting.
• Complete the appropriate sections on the alteration tag.
• Adhere to Holt Renfrew's price list.
• Inform the department manager of required restocks or equipment needing repairs.
• Help maintain a clean and organized workshop.
• Observe all health and safety policies and requirements.

• Technical training in alterations or tailoring, or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience in luxury garment alterations.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly in English and/or French.
