Job Description

Summary

Provide friendly, efficient customer service and support store operations by assisting customers with transactions, using store technologies, and maintaining privacy and security of customer information. Resolve customer issues, promote programs like Nordstrom Rewards, and work varied schedules based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with a variety of transactions and inquiries
  • Use and demonstrate expertise in store technologies and operating systems
  • Defuse customer situations and provide timely resolutions
  • Ensure security and privacy of customer information
  • Promote initiatives such as the rewards program
  • Inspire teamwork and positive relationships with peers and leadership
  • Work a flexible schedule with varying hours based on department needs
  • Handle merchandise including lifting and reaching as required

Requirements

  • Ability to build effective relationships with customers and team members
  • Proficiency with multiple operating systems such as MS Windows, iOS and Android
  • Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Accountability, initiative and high level of ownership
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including continuous movement for 6-8 hours
  • Capacity to lift items regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
