Summary
The Data Analyst III on the Transportation Data and Analytics team leads data collection delivery and insight generation for the transportation organization. This role designs and develops BI solutions data models and reporting to support supply chain decisions and presents findings to leadership while mentoring junior analysts.
Responsibilities
- Partner with data engineers BI analysts and business stakeholders to define design and deliver analytics projects
- Develop BI solutions using best practices standards and procedures
- Create analysis and reporting tools for pre and post analysis of distribution and fulfillment changes
- Provide standard performance reporting to operations for gap analysis and action planning
- Plan and scope infrastructure architecture and technical configurations for implementations
- Architect databases build pipelines and design data schemas to enable analytics
- Serve as subject matter expert on distribution and fulfillment systems processes data models and KPI development
- Drive cross functional initiatives and manage stakeholder relationships
- Present insights and recommendations to supply chain leadership
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in information technology computer science data science or related experience
- 3+ years experience in analytics working with large data sets
- 3+ years professional SQL experience including advanced queries and optimization
- Proficiency in data manipulation and modeling using Python or R
- Experience applying statistical methods time series forecasting and predictive modeling
- Experience ingesting data from multiple sources and formats such as json csv and parquet
- Understanding of data visualization best practices and clear communication of findings
- Ability to work in cross functional teams prioritize requests and mentor developing analysts
- Supply chain experience is a strong plus
