Job Description

Summary

As a Data Analyst Senior in Store Operations Shrink and RFID at Nordstrom, you will play a crucial role in managing large-scale projects that deliver significant business value. You will work closely with various departments to analyze shrink signals enabled by RFID and inventory health, leading tactic measurement and strategy deployment to stores.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the collection, integration, and analysis of diverse data sources including RFID signals and sales data.
  • Drive analysis with minimal oversight, delivering decision-ready insights.
  • Provide expertise in senior leadership forums to support decision-making around tactical shrink activations.
  • Monitor shrink signals and share insights to address root causes.
  • Align cross-functional teams to tasks and manage project progression.
  • Communicate project status and changes with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Conduct complex statistical analyses and experimentation on new tactics.
  • Manage full project lifecycle for cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis and delivering business insights.
  • Expert in SQL and at least one programming language for analysis and automation.
  • Ability to apply statistical methods to answer complex business questions.
  • Experience in creating compelling visualizations to summarize data.
  • Experience related to Brick-and-Mortar Retailer.
