Data Engineer - Tribeca

Summary

The Data Engineer will design and build data integration solutions and serverless pipelines to support David Yurman’s analytics modernization efforts. This hybrid role is based in Tribeca, New York and works within the Data Management & Engineering team to enable self-service analytics and reliable, event-driven data flows. The role focuses on AWS serverless services, Snowflake, and CI/CD infrastructure to move and transform data at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production-grade data pipelines using AWS serverless technologies with error handling, retry logic, and observability
• Implement data warehousing patterns for historical tracking and compliance and build incremental processing with CDC and idempotent designs
• Create multi-stage orchestration workflows with parallel execution and real-time integrations between systems and databases
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven data flows to connect ERP, CRM, e-commerce platforms, and third-party APIs
• Author Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for multi-environment deployments
• Implement monitoring, alerting, cost optimization, and security guardrails for pipeline health and data quality

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years designing, building, and supporting data integrations and pipeline orchestrations using AWS technologies (Lambda, Step Functions, Fargate, Glue)
• 5+ years experience with Snowflake
• 3+ years experience with SQL and Python
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent required; master’s preferred
• Familiarity with retail systems, Oracle Integration Cloud, Sigma, and the Salesforce ecosystem is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
