Job Description

Summary

As a Data Science Intern at Nordstrom in Seattle, you will engage in a dynamic and collaborative environment, applying data science to enhance business processes and customer experiences. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to develop predictive models and algorithms that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Build predictive models and algorithms to solve business problems.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to implement scalable code and algorithms.
  • Conduct exploratory data analyses and apply statistical methods to data outputs.
  • Visualize findings and communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Gain experience working with large enterprise data sets across various domains.
Requirements
  • Enrollment in a master’s degree program in math, statistics, computer science, analytics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of full-time industry work experience prior to starting the master’s program.
  • Experience with querying languages, preprocessing, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with regression modeling, prediction, forecasting, and time series analysis.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Proven ability to work in both collaborative and independent environments.
