Summary
Experienced Data Scientist responsible for designing and building data analytics solutions to support strategic business goals. Role includes developing machine learning and data mining processes, performing quantitative analysis, and delivering actionable insights to cross functional teams. Positioned within a growing Data Management, Engineering and Analytics team in a hybrid Tribeca office.
Responsibilities
- Query and acquire data to perform business analysis and identify trends in large datasets.
- Interpret data and provide business insights to drive data driven decision making.
- Develop data mining processes and machine learning models to support analytics needs.
- Maintain and enhance AI and ML models for CRM, marketing, demand planning and strategy teams.
- Apply statistical techniques to identify performance improvement opportunities.
- Research and apply emerging data science methods and industry best practices.
- Work on multiple data integration projects simultaneously.
- Develop and execute test scripts to validate models and analytics.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience as a data scientist.
- 5+ years experience with SQL, Python and/or R.
- 3-5 years experience with quantitative analysis, experimentation, regression and data mining.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets using analytical and statistical approaches.
- Experience with retail analytics and statistical modeling a plus.
- Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau or Sigma.
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science or related field.
- Self starter with strong strategic thinking and communication skills.
