Responsibilities- Lead forecast application education, maintenance, and evolution.
- Maintain attributes and default settings in the forecasting application.
- Apply an understanding of customer needs, wants, and expectations to drive the replenishment merchandising strategy.
- Collaborate with merchant partners to create optimal demand forecasts that align with the merchandise strategy.
- Ensure order results align with the buyer's expected outcomes.
- Proactively seek opportunities to drive replenishment and improve item performance.
- Perform analysis and influence decision-making to improve replenishment sales and inventory results.
- Demonstrate proficiency in applicable systems, including replenishment, item planning, reporting, and division-specific tools.
Requirements- Experience with retail forecasting tools and methods, with Oracle merchandising foundation experience and/or Retail Demand Forecast (RDF) experience preferred.
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in retail merchandise planning and analysis, inventory management, or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Statistics, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- Experience supporting a high sales volume category preferred.
- Basic statistics proficiency.
- Understanding of retail and the service environment of Nordstrom required.
- Ability to develop relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite required.
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills required.
