Summary
The Demand Planner will lead enterprise demand and inventory planning across retail, e-commerce, and wholesale to drive forecast accuracy, inventory productivity, and cross-functional alignment. This role translates demand signals and in-season performance into actionable inventory plans, allocation and receipt recommendations, and supports scalable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage OTB, WOS, inventory turn, ATS, receipt flow, and inventory investment against sales and financial targets.
- Create and maintain top-down and bottom-up finished goods forecasts and own forecast accuracy analysis and variance investigation.
- Develop SKU-level demand forecasts, allocations, replenishment plans, and assumptions for new product introductions.
- Participate in monthly S&OP and hindsight processes and provide inventory and demand analysis to Planning, Manufacturing, Operations, and Finance.
- Establish inventory targets, balance demand and supply, mitigate overstock, and improve inventory flow and lead times.
- Build and publish reporting on forecast accuracy, inventory health, risks, and opportunities and provide ad hoc scenario analysis.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning, demand forecasting, inventory planning, supply chain, analytics, or related field within fashion, eyewear, accessories, or specialty retail.
- Strong command of retail math and planning fundamentals including forecasting, OTB, WOS, inventory turn, and sell-through.
- Advanced Excel skills; hands-on experience with NetSuite and Shopify preferred.
- Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations and influence cross-functional partners.
- Strong presentation, verbal and written communication, organization, and prioritization skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
