Summary

The Department Manager is a store-based leader responsible for achieving qualitative and quantitative objectives for an assigned product department. This role leads and motivates the department team, ensures exceptional client service and drives sales performance while maintaining visual and operational standards. The manager also supports cross-selling, clienteling and the development of the ecommerce channel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an exceptional welcome and high levels of customer service on the sales floor.
• Analyze department performance and define actions to achieve business objectives and KPIs.
• Coach, train and motivate the sales team in product knowledge, sales techniques and clienteling.
• Provide commercial feedback to the Store Manager and support visual presentation of the department.
• Foster cross-selling among product categories and support ecommerce development.
• Maintain effective back-of-house organization, staff grooming standards and protection of company assets.

Requirements

• Passion for and strong knowledge of the managed product category.
• Proven leadership and team development skills with a business-driven mindset.
• Excellent customer service and clienteling abilities; ability to drive sales.
• Organized, detail oriented and strong problem-solving skills.
• English required; other languages a plus; Business/Retail Management degree or equivalent is a plus.
