Responsibilities- Design a compelling product assortment that aligns with the brand aesthetic and seasonal direction.
- Conduct research to develop new product ideas, utilizing vintage garments, photos, sketches, and fabric swatches.
- Stay informed on market trends and runway shows to identify new materials, models, and techniques.
- Create design boards and sketches to convey ideas to the Senior Brand Creative Director.
- Lead the product design cycle, ensuring all milestone deadlines are met.
- Develop products in line with the line plan structure and seasonal strategy.
- Ensure detailed design hand-offs and clear development goals for timely product development.
- Drive selection of print/logo techniques, colors, and placements as needed.
- Review and approve product development submissions through to stock approval.
- Communicate brand goals to regional teams, mills, and factories to drive innovation.
- Travel may be required for development and sourcing initiatives.
Requirements- Proven ability to create designs that support creative direction and commercial strategy.
- Hands-on design approach grounded in storytelling and innovation.
- Ability to manage overlapping projects in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of bag and footwear construction and materials.
- Ability to create cohesive assortments between categories.
- Comfortable leading in a digital culture and proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
- 3D design skills are a plus.
- Affinity for the brand and strong knowledge of vintage styles.
- Confidence in managing direct reports and fostering their growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, accessories design, or fashion design preferred.
