Job Description

Summary

As a Designated Selling Associate at Century City, you will be a leader in customer service, product knowledge, and sales, driving volume for Nordstrom while representing the Chanel Sunglasses brand. Your focus will be on customer satisfaction and loyalty, achieving sales targets, and educating peers on brand trends and product knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Set and achieve daily sales targets aligned with sales plans or sell-through goals.
  • Provide honest and confident feedback to customers about style, fit, features, and benefits, recommending additional or alternate items based on product expertise and customer needs.
  • Seek fashion and product education from brand representatives and stay current on trends and inspiration for the brand.
  • Cultivate lasting relationships with customers and drive predictable business through appointment-based selling.
  • Build relationships and partnerships with other DSAs, Stylists, and surrounding departments.
  • Grow sales and customer loyalty by opening new Nordstrom Rewards program accounts.
  • Drive sales through reservation tools and digital selling.
  • Attend department meetings and product knowledge trainings to build expertise.
  • Provide consistent and actionable monthly product feedback to the merchant team and brand partner.
  • Partner with the department manager to ensure front and back of house presentation meets brand and Nordstrom standards.
  • Be flexible and open to occasionally performing work in a department other than the one hired into.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering on sales targets and customer service.
  • Ability to read sales reporting in relation to goals and strategize ways to meet targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with customers and key store partners.
  • Understanding of how to educate customers on product features and benefits.
  • Confidence with high/low price points and ability to showcase the value of items.
  • Strong understanding of customers’ holistic wardrobe and style.
  • Ability to excel in a competitive team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule based on business needs.
