The Designated Selling Associate is a customer-focused sales professional who promotes brand performance, provides personalized styling advice, and drives in-store and digital sales through appointments and relationship building. Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling including reservations and appointments
- Build and maintain lasting customer relationships and grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts
- Provide styling advice on fit value and wardrobe completion to customers
- Educate peers through product knowledge meetings and training
- Merchandise the department including stocking re-merchandising displays and price markdowns
- Provide product feedback to the district manager to inform assortment decisions
- Use selling tools such as text and social media to drive sales
- Perform occasional duties in other departments as business needs require
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer relationships
- Ability to work in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Flexible availability to work varied schedules based on business needs
- Ability to read sales reporting in relation to goals
- Knowledge of fashion trends product knowledge and ability to educate customers
- Confidence selling across a range of price points and demonstrating value
- Physical ability to stand and move for 6-8 hours and lift items up to 25 pounds
