Summary
The Designated Selling Associate is a customer-focused salesperson who sells and represents a specific jewelry brand on the sales floor. This role drives in-store and digital sales through one-on-one appointments, relationship building, and deep product knowledge. The associate also contributes to merchandising, team training, and maintaining a customer-ready department.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools including text and social media.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers through appointment-based and walk-in selling.
- Educate customers on product features, fit, value, and style to drive purchases and brand loyalty.
- Lead and participate in product knowledge trainings and DSA-run meetings to inform peers and improve assortment feedback to the district manager.
- Support merchandising activities including stocking, re-merchandising, displays, price markdowns, and merchandise transfers.
- Open new customer accounts in the rewards program and use sales reporting to inform selling strategy.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate customer relationships and work in a competitive team environment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail setting and maintain a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Comfortable selling across a range of price points and advising customers on wardrobe-building and styling.
- Ability to read and interpret sales reporting in relation to goals and provide product feedback to leadership.
- Physical ability to perform continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, frequent bending and reaching, and lift items regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
