Summary
Provide personalized, one-on-one fashion service to customers by driving sales, building relationships, and representing the brand through strong product knowledge and merchandising. Achieve sales goals through in-store and digital selling, including appointments, texts, and social media. Maintain department presentation and support cross-department needs as required.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools and reservations
- Build and maintain lasting customer relationships and drive appointment-based selling
- Provide styling advice on fit, value, and wardrobe building to customers
- Conduct and participate in product knowledge trainings and DSA-run meetings
- Provide product feedback to the district manager to inform assortment decisions
- Support department merchandising tasks including stocking, re-merchandising, displays, markdowns, and transfers
- Grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts through customer interactions
- Perform flexible duties across departments as business needs require
- Physically handle merchandise including lifting, reaching, and frequent movement during shifts
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer rapport
- Ability to work in a competitive team environment and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Flexible availability to work varied schedules based on business needs
- Familiarity with reading sales reporting and using it to meet goals
- Strong product and fashion knowledge with ability to educate customers on brands and trends
- Confidence selling across high and low price points and demonstrating product value
- Organizational skills to follow up strategically with customers about wardrobe needs
- Capacity for continuous movement and physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds
