Summary
The Designated Selling Associate provides one-on-one customer service, drives sales for assigned brands, and supports both in-store and digital selling efforts. This role focuses on building customer relationships, product knowledge, merchandising, and meeting sales goals while maintaining a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers through appointment and event selling
- Provide personalized style advice and product education to customers
- Participate in brand trainings and lead product knowledge meetings with peers
- Perform merchandising tasks including stocking, remerchandising, displays, markdowns, and transfers
- Provide product feedback to management to inform assortment decisions
- Open new customer rewards accounts to grow sales and loyalty
- Be flexible to support other departments or brands as needed
- Handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and moving merchandise
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer relationships
- Ability to work in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Flexible availability to meet business scheduling needs
- Comfort using digital tools including text and social media for selling
- Ability to read sales reports and understand performance relative to goals
- Strong product and brand knowledge with an ability to educate customers
- Confidence selling across a range of price points and articulating product value
- Organizational skills to follow up strategically on customer wardrobe needs
- Ability to perform continuous physical activity and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
