Summary
The Designated Selling Associate drives sales for a specific brand through one-on-one customer engagement, product knowledge, merchandising, and appointment-based selling. This role focuses on building lasting customer relationships, educating peers and customers on brand trends and style, and supporting both in-store and digital selling efforts.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools including text and social media
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers through personalized service
- Provide styling advice and product recommendations to showcase value and fit
- Conduct product knowledge meetings and educate peers on brand trends
- Support department readiness through stocking, remerchandising, displays, price markdowns and transfers
- Drive business via appointment-based selling during events and non-event periods
- Open new customer accounts for the rewards program to grow sales
- Provide product feedback to the district manager to influence assortment
- Be flexible to perform duties in other departments as needed
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer relationships
- Ability to excel in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Capacity to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Familiarity with reading sales reports and using them to meet goals
- Desire to seek fashion and product knowledge through trainings and meetings
- Confidence selling across high and low price points and articulating product value
- Strong organizational skills to follow up strategically with customers on wardrobe needs
- Physical ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours and lift up to 25 pounds
