Summary
The Designated Selling Associate is a salesperson focused on driving volume while championing a specific brand within the women's ready to wear department. This role builds lasting customer relationships through appointment and one-on-one selling, provides product knowledge and style advice, and supports merchandising and department readiness. Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools including text and social media
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers through appointment-based and walk-in selling
- Provide personalized style, fit and product value guidance to customers
- Conduct and participate in product knowledge meetings and trainings
- Collaborate with team to keep the department customer ready through stocking, re-merchandising and displays
- Perform price markdowns, merchandise transfers and routine cleaning
- Drive business by opening new rewards program accounts and cultivating repeat clients
- Provide product feedback to management to influence assortment
- Occasionally assist in other departments as business needs require
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish customer rapport
- Ability to work in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Flexible availability to meet varying business schedules
- Capacity to read sales reporting and relate it to goals
- Knowledge of fashion trends and ability to educate customers on brands and styling
- Confidence selling across a range of price points and articulating product value
- Highly organized with ability to strategically follow up with customers
- Physical ability to be on feet 6-8 hours and perform bending, lifting and reaching
