Summary
Design role on the Cut and Sew team based at the New York SoHo headquarters responsible for leading development of original cut and sew garments, collaborating across design leadership and technical teams to deliver seasonal concepts with attention to fit, fabrication, and construction.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of innovative cut and sew designs aligned with brand aesthetic
- Research global trends techniques and innovations to inform design direction
- Collaborate with design leadership graphics product development and technical design to translate concepts into finished product
- Create 2D and 3D work including draping sketching mockups and prototypes
- Produce detailed technical sketches and tech packs to communicate fabrication and construction
- Oversee fittings and provide design input on fit proportion and aesthetic
- Curate and style looks for internal presentations and style outs
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining creative integrity
- Maintain organized boards reference libraries and PLM data
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
- 4-6 years of experience in fashion design with strong cut and sew background
- Excellent understanding of fit drape and construction for cut and sew garments
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator Photoshop and CAD sketching
- Experience working in PLM systems Centric preferred
- Knowledge of fabric development finishing and sourcing processes
- Excellent organizational time management communication and presentation skills
- Ability to balance creative direction with commercial and production realities
